Supplemental Instruction / Links to SI Videos

University College is very excited to see the continued success and growth of the Supplemental Instruction program. With having serviced over 1,000 contact hours, 23 sessions, and 15 courses this fall semester, it has been a great benefit to students throughout the University. To find out a little more about what SI is, watch this video!


This video explains the basics of what Supplemental Instruction is and even includes interviews from students, partnering faculty and SI Leaders. It is a good overview of the program currently in place at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY USA.


HU Student Conducts Research on Volcano in France ​Daniel GarzaLas Vegas, N.M. – Highlands University graduate student Daniel Garza is the first researcher to produce a detailed geologic map of the Puy de Dome in central France, discovering that the iconic volcanic landmark likely developed in two phases rather than one as scientists thought. At a height of 1,465 meters, Puy de Dome is the largest of 80 extinct volcanoes in the Chaine de Puys mountains range. Previous geologic research of the dome was limited to aerial surveys. “My geologic mapping suggests that the first phase of the Puy de Dome involved a single magma pulse, with a

We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.
